Tokyo can be a daunting place to the first-time visitor but don't worry, help is at hand! We are connected with many Brits who live, work and play in Tokyo. Some have been here for months or years, and some have had so much sake they can't remember. We come from all walks of life and with three things in common; we are British, we were all new here once, and we all sometimes yearn for something British! Tokyo Brits is:-
1. An avenue of communication for Brits moving to Tokyo who want to know where to go for British goods and services, to meet fellow Brits, or to find English-speaking help to make their lives easier.
2. A means of promoting businesses owned by Tokyo Brits, mainly restaurants and bars in Tokyo because you will at some point yearn for a good old fry-up or a Sunday roast and a real ale!
3. A way to ''get fit and give back''. You could join amateur cycling team the ''Knights in White Lycra'' www.kiwl.net which was founded by Tokyo Brits 5 years ago and has raised over JPY 36 million (GBP250,000) for disadvantaged children in Japan. Men and women of all ages and abilities are welcome!
So if you're moving to Tokyo and don't know where to start, get in touch, help is at hand!
We also have a Facebook page, check us out at www.facebook.com/TokyoBrits
